Course description:
This writing‐intensive course is a survey of global Christianity that examines the mission and purposes of God and His people among the nations. Emphasis is placed on the analysis of recent mission movements, best practices for mission strategies, and contemporary trends in global Christianity.
Tuition benefits specifically for the adjunct employee. 401(k) Employee perks and discounts Gym and Fitness Center, Canyon Health & Wellness Center. Course taught in person on GCU Main Campus – Phoenix, AZ, for the Fall 2026 semester (09/08/2026 – 12/13/2026).
Responsibilities- Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions.
- Engage students in learning course objectives and topics.
- Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom.
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
- Master’s in Divinity (preferred) or Master’s in Theology or Master’s in Christian Studies with 8 graduate credits in missions or cultural anthropology from an accredited college or university.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in missions or teaching missions at the postsecondary level.
Employment is contingent upon the satisfactory outcome (as determined by the university) of pre‐employment screening activities, including a background check.
