Course: Introduction to Systems Engineering
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the principles and practices of systems engineering. It offers a high-level overview of the entire life cycle of complex systems, from initial concept and design, through development, deployment, and sustainment. Students learn how to apply systems engineering methodologies to manage complexity, ensure interoperability, and optimize performance across multidisciplinary projects. The curriculum combines theoretical foundations with practical applications, preparing students to effectively contribute to and lead systems engineering efforts in various industries.
WhatYou Will Do
- Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
- Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
- Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University
- Minimum:
Master’s in Systems Engineering or related engineering degree - Preferred:
PhD in Systems Engineering and 3+ years industry experience
