Position SummaryThe Faculty Program Lead provides strategic and operational leadership for the Doctor of Physical Therapy program, ensuring academic excellence, student success, faculty development, and compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards. This role serves as a key advocate for innovation, interprofessional collaboration, and continuous program improvement.
This is a full-time, campus-based leadership position located in Phoenix, Arizona.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
- Monitor and report key program metrics, including student outcomes, graduation rates, enrollment trends, faculty workload, scholarly productivity, and student satisfaction.
- Teach and mentor students using evidence-based instructional methods and innovative educational technologies.
- Foster student engagement, academic achievement, and professional development both inside and outside the classroom.
- Support curriculum design, assessment strategies, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with faculty and institutional leadership to ensure compliance with accreditation requirements and best practices in physical therapy education.
- Guide faculty development and promote scholarly activity, research, and professional engagement.
- Contribute to strategic planning, program evaluation, and long-term growth initiatives.
- Active, unrestricted Physical Therapist license eligible for practice in Arizona.
- Earned academic doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, or equivalent).
- Minimum six years of full-time experience in higher education.
- Minimum three years of full-time experience as a core faculty member within a CAPTE-accredited entry-level physical therapist education program.
- Demonstrated expertise in:
- Academic leadership and administration
- Educational theory and teaching methodologies
- Instructional design and curriculum development
- Student assessment and evaluation
- Program outcomes assessment
- Fiscal and resource management
- Accreditation compliance and program evaluation
- Experience leading accreditation activities, including CAPTE accreditation processes.
- Evidence of professional engagement through presentations, publications, research, leadership roles, and professional organization involvement.
