Childrens Coach – Kid Strong

Work Location & Schedule

Kid Strong Paradise Valley is rapidly growing. Classes run typically on weekdays 9 am‑11 am and evenings until 7 pm; weekends run from 8 am through lunch/noon. Coaches may cover multiple miles during a shift, lift and move equipment up to 25 pounds, and work in a physically intensive environment.

Role and Schedule Details
  • Coaching children ages 12 months to 11 years on brain, physical and character development according to the evolving monthly curriculum.
  • Communicating with parents and guardians about the curriculum and its benefits.
  • Possessing athletic or coaching experience; prior experience with this age range preferred.
  • Opportunity for a flexible work schedule depending on studio needs.
  • Potential to increase hours through private party coaching sessions.
  • Prior experience as a pediatric OT/PT is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
  • Coach class sizes of 6 to 15 children and manage age groups from roughly 12 months to 11 years.
  • Teach the Kid Strong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team.
  • Ensure classes start and end on schedule, following the appropriate pace of curriculum.
  • Greet students and their parent(s)/guardian(s) individually before and at the beginning of each class.
  • Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor while leading the class.
  • Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the center, including lobby, bathrooms and blue floors: take out trash, sweep, mop, wipe down equipment and sanitize the mat at the end of a shift.
  • Use the KS Coach’s App to record class data and provide attendance, awards, and other records to parents.
  • Communicate professionally with co‑workers via Slack and other company messaging systems.
  • Complete training through Fran Connect as required by the HQ Training and Certification team.
  • Work in a physically intensive environment, covering multiple miles, lifting equipment up to 25 lb, and being “hands‑on” with kids to ensure proper technique and safety.
  • Assist parents of students ages three and younger with the direction and flow of the class.
  • Attend monthly center staff programming meetings and additional mandatory staff meetings as required by the Kid Strong Director.
  • Learn and manage Coach Kid Strong Academy – special classes during local school breaks (e.g., winter or summer).
  • Obtain certified status through the HQ Training and Certification team.
Qualifications
  • Passion for working with children is non-negotiable.
  • Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate Kid Strong age range preferred.
  • Prior experience speaking to and educating parents about the Kid Strong curriculum.
  • Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics.
  • CPR certified.
  • Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self‑starter who gets the job done.
Compensation

$18.00 – $22.00 per hour.
