Applications of Machine Shop Tools & Lab
This course emphasizes appropriate machine shop tool selection for the job in regard to cutting, drilling, milling, and turning. Hands‑on activities in the machine shops focus on safe operation of the equipment. The course also covers the three principal orthographic views of an object and how to draw by hand for engineering applications.
What You Will Do- Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
- Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
- Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University
- Minimum:
Master’s in an engineering discipline - Experience with machine shop equipment
- Required documents: unofficial transcript reflecting degree earned with 18 graduate credit hours in the areas listed above; unofficial transcripts for any applicable conferred graduate degrees
