About the Role
Grand Canyon University’s College of Engineering and Technology is seeking passionate adjunct faculty to teach part‑time, face‑to‑face instruction at its Phoenix campus. Adjunct faculty will work with small class sizes and experience modern facilities, while engaging and mentoring students to prepare them for a continuously changing world of IT and Engineering.
Course OverviewCourse:
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) IAn introduction to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including the various tools, artifacts, and delivery practices will be explored. An overview of team process infrastructure and resource estimation to support appropriate levels of quality is discussed. Traditional system and software delivery methodologies as well as agile and lean delivery methodologies will be discoursed. This course will be comprised of several individual, in‑class, and group projects that implement the practices reviewed.
You Will Do
- Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
- Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
- Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University
- Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MBA or related discipline with 3 or more years related work experience in Java, C# or Python and 3 or more years of experience with Agile project management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in one of the listed disciplines with 5 or more years of related work experience in Java, C# or Python and 5 or more years of experience with Agile project management experience.

- Adjunct employment is part‑time and face‑to‑face instruction on campus at the Phoenix location.
