About the Role
Grand Canyon University’s College of Engineering and Technology seeks an adjunct faculty member for the Medical Device Design and Development course. The instructor will engage and mentor students, deliver lectures, facilitate discussions, and assess performance.
Course DetailsThe Medical Device Design and Development course introduces students in the Biomedical Engineering master’s program to the process of modern medical device design and production. Students work in‑class in teams to design, build, and test devices to solve problems presented by the instructor. Homework and exams cover key topics and touch points to ensure students understand the process from an engineering perspective, clinical need, and industrial approach.
Responsibilities- Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions.
- Engage students in learning course objectives and topics.
- Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom.
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
- Minimum:
PhD in Bioengineering or Biomedical Engineering
. - Experience in design, medical device development, regulatory and intellectual property topics preferred.
