Position: Junior Counselor – International/USFC Admissions (NFWS)

Position Summary / Purpose

The purpose of this position will support the admissions team to help qualify and support inquiries or prospective students who are seeking to or currently attending GCU via Campus, Cohort or Online degree programs of study. This will include communicating via phone and email with potential students and assisting with collection of documentation needed to assist students in the admissions process.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities / Essential Functions
  • Communicate with prospective and current students via phone and email.
  • Communicate internally via phone, MSTeams or email with University Counselors.
  • Provide guidance and assistance regarding the admissions process and required paperwork needed to move through the admissions process.
  • Follow up and re‑engage with old inquiries and students.
  • Communicate with inquiries and students on past‑due documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Equipment Used and Responsibility

Laptop Computer, MS Office Products.

Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Detail‑oriented.
  • Experience in communicating in‑person or over phone with customers.
  • Follow‑up skills.
  • Review and quality‑assure documents for accuracy.
  • Able to work independently after instructions on tasks provided.
Experience / Education

Grand Canyon University is committed to a student‑first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:

  • Enrolled at GCU as a full‑time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
  • You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
