Overview

Grand Canyon University’s College of Engineering and Technology seeks passionate faculty to mentor students and prepare them for the evolving fields of IT and Engineering. Faculty members serve as energetic advisors, helping students grow academically, spiritually, and personally.

Location & Schedule

Part‑time adjunct faculty will teach at the Phoenix campus. The current Fall 2026 semester course (Manufacturing Specialist Foundation) will run in‑person Monday through Friday from 5:00p.m. to 7:15p.m., beginning 10/12/2026 and ending 11/13/2026.

Course Description

The Manufacturing Specialist Foundation course develops essential knowledge and skills related to workplace safety, standard operating procedures, structured workflows, process monitoring, and analysis of wafer fabrication. Topics include OSHA regulations, gown room protocols, wafer manufacturing process flow, production quality (die and line yields), lean manufacturing, metrology, and statistical process control (SPC). Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and are prepared for entry‑level specialist roles.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate classroom lectures and discussions.
  • Engage students in learning course objectives and topics.
  • Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom.
  • Provide a positive example by supporting the university’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission.
Qualifications

Preferred qualifications:

Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering with 3–5 years of industry experience in semiconductor manufacturing.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering with 5–7 years of industry experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
