Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH)
AB Staffing is looking for an experienced Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) that is available for the 2026/2027 school year.
Requirements:
- Current Arizona Department of Education TOD Licensure
- Experience working with students across a range of grade levels preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Valid Arizona Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Certification required.
- Full-time itinerant position
- Travel between 10 district schools required
- Students are served in both resource and self-contained program settings
- Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions;
May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to provide specialized educational support to students with hearing loss. The ideal candidate will collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families to ensure students have access to the curriculum and can thrive in their educational environments.
Essential Functions:
- Provide direct and consultative services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Support students in both general education and special education settings.
- Develop and implement IEP goals related to hearing needs.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to ensure appropriate accommodation and services.
- Monitor and support use of amplification and assistive listening devices.
- Travel between schools within the district or assigned region.
Salary:
- $1,912.50 – $2,025.00 /week
