**** Position Summary

** Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) Teachers
** for
** immediate openings
** at three of our Phoenix-area campuses:
** AMS Flower, AMS Desert Sky, and AMS Peoria Advanced**. These full-time positions begin
** July 20, 2026**, for the 2026–2027 school year.

** Key Responsibilities
**** Instruction & Student Achievement
*** Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned English Language Arts instruction aligned to AMS curriculum frameworks.
* Differentiate instruction to support students performing above and below grade level.
* Use formative and summative assessment data to drive instructional planning and targeted interventions.
* Develop students' reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, grammar, and critical thinking skills.
** Classroom Culture & Student Support
*** Establish and maintain a structured, positive, and high-expectations classroom environment.
* Implement PBIS and proactive classroom management strategies.
* Support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.
** Collaboration & Professional Growth
*** Participate in weekly professional development and Professional Learning Communities (PLCs).
* Collaborate with grade-level teams and instructional leaders to continuously improve instructional practices.
* Contribute to school-wide initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
** Family Engagement
*** Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and achievement.
* Conduct parent-teacher conferences and build strong partnerships with families.
** Minimum Qualifications
** Candidates must meet
** one
* * of the following qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, or a related field;
* ** OR
* * a valid Arizona teaching certificate in a relevant subject area;
* ** OR
* * a minimum of three (3) years of K–12 teaching experience.
** Preferred:
*** SEI Endorsement or completion of 45 hours of SEI training (preferred but not required).
** Additionally, candidates must:
*** Demonstrate strong classroom management skills.
* Obtain or be eligible to obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
* Pass all required background checks.
* Demonstrate a commitment to serving Title I and multilingual communities.
* Exhibit strong analytical skills and a data-driven instructional mindset.
* Work collaboratively while maintaining high professional standards.
