Hybrid Visiting Professor of Business Intelligence Analytics Management Opportunity

This position is for a hybrid visiting professor in business intelligence analytics management who will teach and share industry expertise with undergraduate and graduate students.

• Courses meet once or twice a week for eight weeks.
• Face‑to‑face interaction is blended with technology (online discussions and assignments).
• Faculty facilitate student learning by teaching courses and programs in accordance with DeVry University requirements.
• Faculty develop course syllabi, lesson plans, and apply teaching techniques to achieve course objectives.
• All DeVry instructors participate in a faculty training program and ongoing development activities.
• Work hours or assignments may vary based on the University’s needs and discretion.
• Faculty engage in meaningful student support as demonstrated in a brief video.

• Develop and provide students with an approved DeVry University syllabus that follows campus templates, including terminal course objectives.
• Organize, prepare, and regularly revise all course materials.
• Use appropriate technological options for online technologies and course‑related software, including websites, e‑mail, and online discussions.
• Model effective oral and written communication that engages students, provides clarity, and improves learning.
• Set clear expectations by publishing course terminal objectives, assignment/examination dates, and weight distribution of evaluation categories.
• Ensure that exam content and level of material correspond to the course terminal objectives.
• Demonstrate consistency and fairness in exam preparation, grading, and provide timely feedback to students.
• Embrace and integrate responsible use of AI technologies to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
• Recognize, evaluate, and address appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools in academic work.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

• Doctorate degree in Financial Analytics, Statistics, Database Management, Market Research, Qualitative Research Methods, Applied Computer Science, Information Security, or an out‑of‑field doctorate with a minimum of 15 graduate‑course credit hours in the related discipline.
• Proficiency in data analysis software such as Power BI, SQL, R, Python, Tableau, Alteryx, and advanced Excel add‑ons.
• Subject‑matter expertise and outstanding communication skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in instructional technology, digital literacy, and responsible AI practices.
• Additional requirements may apply based on state licensing or accreditation considerations.

Visiting professor pay is based on level, credit hours taught per 8‑week session, and location.

• Pay may vary in most states from $1,500 to $2,700 per 8‑week session.
• In the states of AZ, CA, IN, and PA, pay is an hourly rate of either $22.00 or $23.50 per hour.
