• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Arizona Department of Education teaching credential in Elementary Education, or eligibility to obtain it immediately.
• Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.

• Teach language arts to middle school students.
• Implement the District’s required curriculum.
• Prepare and teach weekly lesson plans based on District and State guidelines.
• Evaluate student learning and maintain up-to-date grade books and records.
• Follow all State and District testing guidelines and disseminate report cards.
• Analyze data to plan instruction for whole, small‑group, and individualized student needs.
• Use and develop research‑based instructional materials and strategies for a diverse student population.
• Incorporate technology to enhance student learning.
• Collaborate with grade‑level team to plan effectively.
• Support all students’ academic and social development needs, seeking guidance from professional staff.
• Maintain accurate student progress records.
• Establish and uphold effective routines and procedures to maximize instructional time.
• Set high learning expectations to motivate students.
• Create an academically rich environment that conveys high expectations.
• Facilitate polite and respectful teacher‑to‑student interactions.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding individual student learning and progress.
• Be available for scheduled parent‑teacher conferences and other related responsibilities outside instructional time.
• Supervise students before, during, and after school in all school areas.
• Participate in required school and district professional development.
• Collaborate with site administration to adhere to the district’s evaluation system and guidelines.
• Contribute positively to improvement efforts within the school.
