Job Description
Chamberlain College of Nursing is pleased to announce part time teaching opportunities for our Bachelor of Science in Nursing - BSN program with our campus in Phoenix AZ. #on-site
Courses meet two times per week and can be scheduled in the daytime, evenings and/or weekends, for an eight‑week session. Commitment is on a course‑by‑course basis.
Anatomy & Physiology I‑IV with Lab (BIOS‑251 thru BIOS‑256)This is a four‑course sequence in which human anatomy and physiology are studied using a body systems approach. Coursework emphasizes interrelationships between form and function at the gross and microscopic levels of organization.
Topics include:
- Develop and provide students with an approved Covista syllabus that follows a template established by the local campus, and which includes the terminal course objectives.
- Organize, prepare, and regularly revise and update all course materials.
- Use appropriate technological options for online technology and course‑related software, including websites, e‑mail, and online discussions for preparing the course and making it accessible to students.
- Model effective oral and written communications that engage the students, provide clarity, and improve student learning.
- Set clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives, assignment/examination dates, and weighting the distribution of various evaluation categories.
- Ensure that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives.
- Demonstrate consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams, and provide timely feedback to students.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
- Master’s Degree is required for all faculty positions (with 18 graduate hours in the subject being taught for undergraduate teaching).
- Faculty must have requisite subject matter expertise and outstanding communication skills.
- Faculty must also have excellent motivational and instructional skills in a diverse and non‑traditional environment.
- Must be able to work in a collegial manner and facilitate the efforts of diverse groups.
- Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply.
Chamberlain Visiting Professor Position - Campus:
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected compensation rate for this position is between $1,120 per assignment to $7,245 per assignment, depending on the candidate’s education and experience. Actual pay may be adjusted based on job‑related factors permitted by law, such as type of course taught; experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications;
