Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher

AMS is hiring Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) Teachers for immediate openings at three of our Phoenix-area campuses: AMS Flower, AMS Desert Sky, and AMS Peoria Advanced. These full-time positions begin July 20, 2026, for the 2026–2027 school year.

Key Responsibilities- Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned English Language Arts instruction aligned to AMS curriculum frameworks.
- Differentiate instruction to support students performing above and below grade level.
- Use formative and summative assessment data to drive instructional planning and targeted interventions.
- Develop students' reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, grammar, and critical thinking skills.
- Establish and maintain a structured, positive, and high-expectations classroom environment.
- Implement PBIS and proactive classroom management strategies.
- Support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.
- Participate in weekly professional development and Professional Learning Communities (PLCs).
- Collaborate with grade-level teams and instructional leaders to continuously improve instructional practices.
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and achievement.
- Conduct parent-teacher conferences and build strong partnerships with families.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, or a related field;
- OR a valid Arizona teaching certificate in a relevant subject area;
- OR a minimum of three (3) years of K–12 teaching experience.
- Demonstrate strong classroom management skills.
- Obtain or be eligible to obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Pass all required background checks.
- Demonstrate a commitment to serving Title I and multilingual communities.
- Exhibit strong analytical skills and a data-driven instructional mindset.
- Work collaboratively while maintaining high professional standards.
