Adjunct Teaching Faculty (General Education)

Starting Salary: $36 per hour.

• Facilitating classroom and distance/distributed learning
• Course and syllabus preparation
• Co‑ordination and planning of class curriculum
• Assessment and evaluation of learners
• Mentoring and advising of students
• Holding office hours and meeting with students
• Research/scholarship mentoring and supervision, especially of MA theses, PsyD projects and PhD, EdD, DBA dissertations

• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to work independently and be self‑motivated
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail with strong problem‑solving skills
• Clear and concise explanation of complex requirements
• Flexibility with workflow to meet department and student needs and manage multiple tasks within deadlines
• Drive to encourage, direct, hold accountable and guide candidates toward task completion
• Effective teamwork and relationship building with students, faculty and staff
• Cultural competence and ability to communicate with diverse people
• Highly motivated, focused and results‑oriented mindset
• Discretion and tact in all interpersonal interactions, maintaining confidentiality
• Collaboration and partnership with university stakeholders to support student success
• Capability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments

• Education:
  
  Master’s, Doctoral or other terminal degree from an accredited institution; official transcripts required.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum two years in the area(s) of specialization and expertise; curriculum or course‑development experience preferred.
• Certifications, Licenses, etc.:
  As required by program.
