Job Overview

Alliant International University, located in Phoenix, Arizona, seeks a dynamic, distinguished leader to serve as its next Director, School of Nursing
. This position is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for the School of Nursing, including oversight of academic programs, faculty recruitment and development, and budget management. Reporting directly to the Dean, the Director plays a central role in academic planning and ensuring the quality and consistency of the student experience. The Director will also guide the continued growth and evolution of the School, fostering innovation in teaching and positioning the program for long-term success in an increasingly complex healthcare environment.

Director

Responsibilities

The Director will build upon the School's current strengths and its dedicated faculty to become a widely recognized national and international leader in nursing education. This individual will serve as a visionary and collaborative leader who can bring together faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community partners to advance the School's mission and expand its global impact. Working closely with the Dean, the Director will foster a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and inclusivity, while ensuring students are prepared to meet the demands of a technologically advanced and evolving healthcare landscape.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will bring a strong record of academic achievement and leadership, including an earned doctoral degree from an accredited institution, with at least one graduate degree in nursing. If the doctoral degree is not in nursing, a master's degree in nursing is required. Candidates should have a demonstrated history of success in teaching, scholarship, and service, along with prior leadership experience, preferably in an academic setting.

Additional qualifications include experience mentoring faculty, managing complex initiatives, and supporting program growth. Certification as a Nurse Educator (CNE) is expected within the first year, and eligibility for core faculty status is required.
