** Position Summary/

Purpose:

** Provide programmatic and logistical support for new student and family programs within the Department of Welcome Programs.
** Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/

Essential Functions:

*** Assist with creating, coordinating, and implementing logistics for events and activities
* Assist with creating, coordinating, and implementing curricula and programs
* Provide operational, task-oriented support for all programs, events, and activities
* Network and collaborate with other GCU departments, partners, and students
* Maintain and expand knowledge of relevant systems, platforms, and resources to aid in managing organizational details
* Support daily office functions and administrative tasks, including answering phone calls and emails
* Other duties as assigned

* Qualifications:

*** Experience and interest in event planning and/or curriculum development
* Excellent written and oral communication, as well as interpersonal skills
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Desire to learn new skills and ability to take and receive direction from staff
* Ability to balance multiple tasks at one time and take initiative of responsibilities
* Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Education:

* Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
* Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
* Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
* You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
