Position Summary
George Gervin Prep Academy is seeking a caring, dependable, and student-focused Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with disabilities in achieving academic, social, behavioral, and functional success. The Special Education Paraprofessional works under the direction of the Special Education Teacher to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), provide instructional support, reinforce positive behaviors, and promote student independence in both general education and special education settings.
The ideal candidate believes every child can succeed with high expectations, individualized support, and strong relationships.

Qualifications Required
* High school diploma or GED.
* Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain prior to employment.
* Ability to work effectively with students with diverse learning and behavioral needs.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
* Ability to lift, assist, and supervise students as required by assigned duties.
Preferred
* Associate's degree or completion of at least 60 college credit hours.
* Previous experience working with students with disabilities in a school or educational setting.
* Knowledge of special education practices, autism, behavior management, and inclusive instructional strategies.
* Experience implementing behavior intervention plans.
