Full-Time | 40 hours/week | 10-Month Contract
Special Education Teacher – resource teacher supporting students K–5 with diverse learning needs under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator.
Ideal candidates are committed to collaboration, individualized instruction, and fostering an inclusive learning environment that supports student growth and achievement.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in a resource setting
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Deliver small-group and individualized interventions
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings, team planning, and professional development
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
- Valid Arizona Department of Education (ADE) Special Education License
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- At least 1 year of teaching experience (preferred)
- Strong understanding of special education best practices
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
- Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement
- Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education Teaching Certification
- Experience in a K–5 resource classroom setting
- CPR certification (if applicable)
- TB screening / health certification (per state regulations)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Local Pay Rate: $50/hour
- Travel Pay Package:
- Taxable: $15.15/hour
- Meals & Incidentals: $300/week
- Housing: $300/week
