Kindergarten Aide

Help children by performing routine duties and by assisting in the instruction of students as requested.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform general clerical duties.
• Ability to work with students on a one-to-one basis.
• Ability to work in a timely and efficient manner.
• Relates to students, parents, and staff in a positive manner.
• Ability to operate standard classroom and office equipment.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Assists the teacher in implementing the instructional program under the teacher's direct supervision.
• Follows teacher(s) directions to provide a consistent discipline program for students.
• Supervises and works with students as assigned.
• Monitors student activities as assigned.
• Uses the following equipment, but not limited to: copy machine, computer, telephone, printer.
• Understands and applies safety-related precautions as outlined in MSDS.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by the designated supervisor(s).

Language

Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents in English as well as the ability to write routine correspondence in English.

Supervision And Evaluation:

Performance will be evaluated by the Principal.

Length Of Work Year/Grade On Salary

Schedule:

9 month employee/Grade B $16.53-$20.25 (DOE)

2 hours/day
