Responsibilities
- Work with classroom instructors and staff to provide targeted teaching and support to students, and general support for all students in the school.
- Assist with classroom behavior management, report concerns to appropriate staff, implement and maintain behavioral program policies and data.
- Maintain classroom order and safety, supervise students inside the school setting, and respond to emergency situations.
- Provide general supervision and interventions to assist students in managing behaviors.
- Work 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Mon‑Fri, following the school calendar.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and be willing and able to provide student transportation using a school van (strongly preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Education, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, Human Services, Kinesiology, Health & Wellness or a related field.
- Experience in teaching/substitute teaching, or desire to teach.
- Background in security or juvenile justice helpful; military veterans encouraged to apply.
- Ability to operate tactfully under stress and flexibly adapt to routine changes.
- Experience with high‑risk special needs students.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and willingness to drive a school van (strongly preferred).
