Intervenor Specialist
Location: Phoenix, Az |
Schedule: Full
-Time 7a-3p |
Pay: 24hr
We’re seeking a compassionate Intervenor Specialist to support a student with deaf‑blindness in a classroom setting. This role involves assisting with communication, learning activities, and daily needs while following the student’s IEP.
Responsibilities- Provide one‑on‑one classroom support.
- Implement modifications and communication techniques.
- Assist with concept development, social interaction, and daily care (feeding, toileting, hygiene).
- Collaborate with teachers and IEP team on student progress.
- Associate’s degree or 60 college credits (or para‑educator exam).
- CPR, First Aid, and Crisis Intervention (or ability to obtain).
- Ability to pass background check or have a Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Willing to learn basic sign language (ASL).
- Experience with young children or special education.
- Knowledge of Braille a plus.
