Job Type: Non-Interim Position

• Administer subject‑specific assessments and tests to determine student competencies.
• Advise parents/guardians of student progress, communicate expectations, and recommend improvement strategies.
• Assess student progress toward objectives; provide feedback to students, parents, and administration.
• Collaborate with instructional staff, school personnel, parents, and community resources to improve student outcomes and support school improvement plans.
• Counsel students or refer them to appropriate personnel for performance, health, and personal issues.
• Demonstrate pedagogical approaches that engage learners and address individual student needs.
• Differentiated classroom work and instructional materials to support individualized learning.
• Direct student teachers, instructional assistants, volunteers, and student workers to support classroom programs.
• Instruct students to improve academic success through a defined course of study.
• Manage student behavior to provide a safe and optimal learning environment.
• Monitor students in classroom, campus, and field trip settings.
• Participate in district, staff, departmental meetings, and PLC teams to review data and instructional practices.
• Prepare written materials (grades, attendance, anecdotal records) documenting student progress and meeting mandated requirements.
• Report health and safety issues to appropriate administrators and agencies.
• Respond to emergency situations to resolve immediate safety concerns and direct to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to inquiries from teachers, parents, administrators, and others to resolve issues and provide information.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills: Apply assessment instruments; use standard office equipment and software; prepare accurate records; apply curriculum and instructional techniques.

Knowledge: Algebra and/or geometry; read technical information; compose documents; facilitate group discussions; analyze issues; understand codes, policies, regulations; knowledge of child development stages; behavioral management strategies; assessment instruments and methods of instruction.

Abilities: Schedule activities, meetings, events; gather, collate, and classify data; use job‑related equipment; work flexibly; collaborate with diverse individuals; problem‑solve; maintain confidentiality; exhibit tact and patience; meet deadlines; work as part of a team; comply with district policies and procedures.

Experience related to the job is desired.

Required experience:

teaching experience in high school culinary education.

Minimum:
Bachelor's degree in a job‑related field (e.g., culinary arts, food science).

• Arizona Teaching Certificate
• Approved Core Content Area certification
• SEI Endorsement (required)

• Criminal Background Clearance
• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
