ACE Nursing Tutor; FWS​/NFWS

Job Overview

Grand Canyon University is seeking a University Tutor to support the mission of the University through the ACE Services department. The position provides academic group or one‑on‑one support to GCU students in their coursework, focusing on Nursing (Prerequisites and Levels 1–4) and potentially CHM-101 and MAT-274. Tutors must be available for on‑ground in‑person work on the Phoenix campus for both BSN ground and ABSN programs.

• Provide tutoring/coaching, reviewing course lectures, homework, and related materials.
• Review diagnostic assessments of students.
• Collect and maintain student data related to tutoring assistance, assessment, and progress monitoring.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and services provided.
• May be requested to perform administrative duties for Center Operations as needed.

• Current GPA of 3.25 or above and an “A” in the specific course(s) to be tutored, or a faculty referral.
• Passion and willingness to help others succeed.
• Strong ethics and integrity.
• Availability for 15 hours per week, with on‑ground in‑person work on the Phoenix campus.
• Enrolled as a full‑time GCU student in a Bachelor's or Master's program.
• Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor-level student or 3.0 GPA as a Master-level student.
• Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
• Subject to termination if requirements are not met.

• Pay Rate:
  Minimum Wage.
• Anticipated End Date:
  June 30, 2027.
