STEM Teacher

We are partnering with a dynamic, Faith-based, student-centered school in the Greater Phoenix area to hire a creative and highly relational STEM Teacher
.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead engaging, hands-on courses for middle and high school students in a collaborative learning environment. With small class sizes averaging approximately 15 students, you will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, create memorable learning experiences, and help students turn their ideas into real-world projects. The position includes teaching middle school and high school classes.

Because these are elective courses, students actively choose to participate and are eager to learn.

You will also help coordinate project-based learning within the school’s STEM program, support the robotics team, and introduce students to areas such as coding, circuitry, engineering, design, robotics, 3D printing, and laser cutting.

• Design and deliver engaging STEM curriculum for middle and high school students.
• Lead lessons involving coding, robotics, circuitry, engineering, and the design process.
• Create project-based learning experiences that encourage creativity, experimentation, and problem-solving.
• Coordinate activities within the school’s STEM program
• Support and collaborate with the school’s robotics team.
• Manage multiple classes and student projects across different grade levels.
• Build authentic, positive relationships with students.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable exploring new ideas.
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction to support a range of learning styles and abilities.
• Collaborate with faculty and school leadership on interdisciplinary projects and STEM initiatives.

• Previous classroom teaching experience is preferred.
• Experience in STEM, science, technology, engineering, robotics, coding, or a related field is strongly preferred.
• A bachelor’s degree in education, science, engineering, technology, or another STEM-related discipline.
• A master’s degree is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom-management skills.
• Ability to design curriculum and create interactive, hands-on learning experiences.
• A relational teaching style and a genuine interest in mentoring young adults.
• Flexibility, creativity, and enthusiasm for working in a project-based environment.
• Willingness to sign the school’s statement of faith.

Experience in any of the following areas is a plus:

• Robotics
• Coding and programming
• Circuitry and electronics
• 3D printing
• Laser cutting
• Project-based learning
• Microsoft Office or comparable productivity software
• FACTS or a similar school-management platform
