Position Overview Academies of Math and Science (AMS) is a network of high-performing K–8 public charter schools committed to academic excellence, college readiness, and equitable access to high-quality education for students in historically underserved communities.

AMS is seeking a passionate and data-driven
** Middle School Science Teacher
** to deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction that fosters scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities ### Instruction & Student Achievement
* Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned science instruction aligned to AMS curriculum frameworks.
* Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students performing above and below grade level.
* Use formative and summative assessment data to guide instructional planning and interventions.
* Foster inquiry-based learning and hands-on scientific exploration.### Classroom Culture & Student Support
* Establish and maintain a structured, positive, and high-expectations classroom environment.
* Implement PBIS and preventative intervention strategies.
* Support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.### Collaboration & Professional Growth
* Participate in weekly professional development and professional learning communities.
* Collaborate with grade-level teams and instructional leaders to strengthen instructional practices.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the campus.### Family Engagement
* Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress.
* Lead parent-teacher conferences and maintain strong home-school partnerships.##

Minimum Qualifications Candidates must meet
** one
* * of the following requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field
** OR
* ** Valid Arizona teaching certification in a relevant subject area Additionally, candidates must:
* Demonstrate strong classroom management skills.
* Pass required background checks and obtain an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
* Demonstrate commitment to serving Title I and multilingual communities.
* Show strong analytical skills and enthusiasm for data-driven instruction.
* Exhibit collaboration, professionalism, and initiative in a team-based environment.## Compensation & BenefitsAMS offers a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to support professional growth and long-term career success.
* Salary Range: **$48,331.25 – $54,571.89 (DOE)*** **$2,000 Sign-On Bonus
