Foundational Culinary
Skills:
This course provides students with the essential knowledge and practical techniques required for professional food service operations. The course integrates food safety protocols, fundamental cooking methods, and food science principles to establish a solid foundation for careers in culinary arts and food service. Students develop proficiency in knife skills, stock and sauce preparation, soup making, and basic menu planning while preparing for the industry-standard Serv Safe Manager certification.
The course emphasizes hands-on learning in a professional kitchen environment, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application to prepare students for advanced culinary coursework and entry-level positions in the food service industry.
