Grand Canyon University (GCU) is seeking passionate adjunct instructors to help prepare the next generation of professionals and leaders. As an adjunct, you will provide engaging, high-quality instruction while supporting student success in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. This course is an introduction to the accounting cycle and the construction of financial statements. Students explore the fundamental principles and practices of financial accounting as outlined by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); the steps in the accounting cycle from journalizing transactions through the preparation of financial statements; and the use and interpretation of the balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows.

• Facilitate classroom instruction and discussions
• Engage students in achieving course learning outcomes
• Assess student performance and provide feedback
• Incorporate current industry knowledge and best practices into teaching
• Support the mission and values of Grand Canyon University

• Masters in Accounting (MSA) or Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
• 3 years accounting experience or 5 years business experience with accounting responsibilities

• PhD/DBA in accounting or other business related discipline.
