GCU Library – Library Aide (FWS)
Position Summary/
Purpose:
The purpose of the GCU Library Aide position is to assist students, faculty, and staff with using the Library and to promote Library services and resources.
- Perform circulation duties, including the checking in and out of Library materials
- Provide prompt and friendly service to GCU students, faculty, and staff
- Assist library users with using Library equipment and resources
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks
- Shelve library materials
- Maintain a clean and safe library environment
- Other duties as assigned
Must possess excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Library databases and online search engines Springshare Lib Apps Integrated Library System software such as Innovative's Sierra
Qualifications- Must be available to work a flexible schedule. Weekend and opening/closing shifts required.
- Willingness to learn and provide excellent customer service
- Proficiency in Word and Excel
- Dependable and punctual

- Enrolled at GCU as a full-time campus student in a Bachelor’s program.
- Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student.
- Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
- You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
