Key Qualifications &

Experience:

• Valid state certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
• Experience working with students with varying exceptionalities, including emotional, behavioral, and learning disabilities
• Familiarity with IEP development, documentation, and progress monitoring
• Effective communication skills for working with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Adaptable teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs
• Strong classroom management abilities and organizational skills

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver direct instruction and support to students with special needs in accordance with their IEPs
• Develop and modify lesson plans based on individual strengths and challenges
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and other specialists to create an inclusive setting
• Participate in ongoing IEP meetings, parent conferences, and progress reporting
• Foster a safe, encouraging, and respectful classroom environment
• Maintain accurate records, collect data, and contribute to student success stories
