Position Summary

The High School Activities Coordinator is an extra-duty assignment that supports non-athletic student activities at the high school. The position works with students, staff, advisors, administrators, families, and community partners to support organized, inclusive, and engaging activities that promote student leadership, participation, school spirit, and a positive school culture.

Qualifications
  • Experience working with high school students.
  • Experience with student activities, student leadership, clubs, event planning, or related programs preferred.
  • Ability to organize multiple activities, manage schedules, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with students, staff, families, and community members.
  • Willingness and ability to work outside the regular school day, including evenings and weekends.
  • Supports coordination of approved non-athletic student activities, including assemblies, dances, Homecoming activities, spirit events, recognition programs, club activities, and other school wide events.
  • Assists with developing, maintaining, and communicating the annual student activities and fundraising calendar in collaboration with building administration, the Leadership Teacher, and advisors.
  • Collaborates with the Leadership Teacher to support student government, student elections, student leadership activities, and associated student body programs as assigned.
  • Serves as a resource and provides coordination support to club advisors, activity advisors, student officers, and student leaders.
  • In collaboration with building administration, assists with event logistics, including facilities, equipment, supervision plans, security requests, custodial support, technology, setup, and cleanup.
  • Helps route activity and fundraising requests for required administrative approval and assists advisors and student leaders in following District procedures.
  • Reports safety concerns, student conduct concerns, financial irregularities, policy violations, or other matters requiring administrative action to the Principal or designee.
  • Performs other activities-related coordination and support duties as assigned.
Evaluation

Performance will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the negotiated contract and District policies and procedures.

Terms of Employment

Compensation: Level E on the negotiated Extra Duty salary schedule, paid once per season for fall, winter, and spring, for a total of three Level E stipends for the 2026–2027 school year. The expected start date is September 15, 2026.
