Position Description

The Academic Support Specialist at The Valley College of Osteopathic Medicine (The Valley COM) plays a key role in supporting student success by providing academic advising, tutoring coordination, and learning support services. This position works closely with students, faculty, and administration to promote retention, academic achievement, and overall student well-being. Reporting to the Associate Dean, Academic Affairs and Assessment, this is a full-time position based in the Phoenix metropolitan area.

Specific/Key

Responsibilities Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field required.
  • Experience working in higher education, preferably in a health sciences or medical education setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
  • Proficiency with learning management systems and educational technologies.
  • Commitment to student success and institutional mission.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
