The job of Preschool Teacher is done for the purpose/s of planning, organizing and implementing an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.

• Provide supervision for students from all grade levels offered by school outside of instructional hours.
• Create multi-level activities for students of various age levels
• Manage daily schedule expectations
• Communicate with families of students in the program as needed
• Communicate with school staff and administration regarding student engagement and behavior
• Manage attendance of students in program
• Maintain program expectations in coordination with school policies

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (positions in this class typically require):

• High School Diploma
• Up to date TB test
• First Aid/CPR Certified
• IVP Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card

Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.

Medium Work:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, and intense noises.
