Position: LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM SPECIALIST
Learning & Development Program Specialist
Under the direction of People and executive leadership, the Learning & Development Program Specialist supports the development, coordination, and continuous improvement of learning and development programs throughout Hubbard Family Swim School. This position is responsible for instructional design, training content and presentations, learning program alignment, curriculum support, training effectiveness, and the strategic administration of Hubbard's learning management system.
The Learning & Development Program Specialist works collaboratively with Human Resources, the Curriculum Team, trainers, operational leaders, Camo Hubbard and other departments to ensure training is engaging, consistent, current, and aligned with company initiatives. They are committed to fulfilling all HFSS duties with ethical conduct, community stewardship, individual initiative, and responsive service.

Display those qualities in daily work and interactions.Design and develop training presentations, courses, facilitator resources, and educational materials for Swim, Camp, leadership, and company-wide learning programs.Enhance existing training using modern instructional methods and visual resources, including presentations, video, photography, interactive activities, games, and other learning tools.Coordinate and support the content, presentations, materials, and communication required for monthly HFSSU trainings, monthly Leadership Trainings, annual All Staff Training, and other company learning initiatives.Review existing training programs from an organizational perspective and identify opportunities to improve consistency, instructional effectiveness, presentation, branding, and alignment with current Hubbard initiatives.Work with trainers and company leaders to maintain alignment regarding training updates, observations, priorities, leadership expectations, and opportunities for improvement.Serve as the strategic program owner and subject-matter expert for TalentLMS, maintaining an understanding of available functionality and identifying opportunities to improve system structure, automation, reporting, and overall effectiveness.Identify organizational training gaps and assist with developing new courses, curriculum, and learning resources based on company and departmental needs.Support the Curriculum Team with instructional structure, presentation development, formatting, visual design, and preparation of final training materials.Coordinate course communication, scheduling, and trainer-room logistics for DID and THW trainings. This position is not responsible for delivering or facilitating DID/THW courses unless separately assigned as a designated trainer.Monitor learning data and training effectiveness, including evaluation results, surveys, course feedback, and other available information, and use findings to recommend improvements.Partner closely with Human Resources during onboarding, employee changes, and offboarding to ensure training records, employee status, and applicable software accounts remain aligned.Coordinate learning-related updates across departments and ensure approved changes are accurately reflected in training content, systems, presentations, and supporting materials.Maintain organized and current learning resources, files, training materials, and supporting documentation.Research learning and development practices, instructional methods, technology, and tools that may improve the Hubbard employee learning experience.Continuously learn and progress toward expert status in instructional design, learning technology, and Hubbard training programs.Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.Track and maintain training completion records, identify overdue or incomplete required training, and provide regular compliance reports to HR.Coordinate with HR to support accurate training records and follow up on outstanding requirements, escalating compliance concerns or discrepancies to HR as needed.Organizational Relationships
Works directly with People and executive leadership for direction and oversight. Works collaboratively with Human Resources, the Curriculum Team, trainers, General Managers, Site Supervisors, Camp Hubbard, Swim School Operations, and other department leaders and subject-matter experts.
Minimum Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or professional experience in learning and development, instructional design, education, training, curriculum development, communications, or a related field preferred. Experience creating…
