Courses are in-person and on-campus for the Spring 2027 semester (Class start date 01/04/2027).
Course:Stagecraft and Lighting for Contemporary Worship
This course examines the elements of designing scenery and lighting for a worship service and explores best practices of proper stagecraft.
What You Will Do:- Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions while incorporating innovative teaching strategies.
- Engage students in cutting-edge technologies and industry trends.
- Assess student performance and mentor classroom success to prepare them for their chosen career path.
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
- Minimum:
Bachelors in Technical Theatre/Stage Design/ or similar content area, and 5 years of professional experience as stage and lighting designer. - Preferred:
Masters (or higher) in Technical Theatre/Stage Design and 3 years of college teaching experience.
