Technical Trainer - North Phoenix

Job Summary:

The Technical Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering technical training programs for SCREEN SPE USA customers, field service engineers, installers, technical support personnel, engineering teams, and other stakeholders. This hands‑on role ensures users of SCREEN equipment have the knowledge and skills necessary to safely operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and support SCREEN products. The trainer will conduct classroom, laboratory, and field‑based instruction while partnering with engineering, applications, service, and product teams to maintain technical accuracy and alignment with evolving product capabilities.

This position reports to the Technical Training Manager.

• Design, develop, and deliver technical training courses on SCREEN equipment.
• Conduct hands‑on training in classrooms, labs, and customer fab environments.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements based on feedback and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with engineering, field service, and product teams to ensure training content reflects current product configurations and best practices.
• Support onboarding of new field service engineers and customer personnel.

• Deliver instructor‑led technical training on SCREEN equipment, systems, software, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting methods.
• Conduct classroom, laboratory, cleanroom, and customer site training activities.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned SCREEN product lines.

• Support onboarding and qualification of new Field Service Engineers, installers, and Technical Support personnel.
• Administer certification exams, practical assessments, and qualification activities.
• Provide technical coaching and mentoring to trainees.

• Maintain training materials to reflect equipment revisions, software updates, engineering changes, and field lessons learned.
• Develop hands‑on exercises, troubleshooting scenarios, and laboratory activities that reinforce technical competencies.

• Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and SCREEN’s equipment portfolio (FC, SU, SS, LA series tools).
• Ability to effectively teach and communicate complex technical concepts to both new and experienced engineers.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom facilitation skills.
• Proficiency with digital training tools.
• Familiarity with SEMI standards, and cleanroom protocols.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, software, and process‑related equipment issues.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple training priorities.
• Ability to travel to customer sites domestically and internationally as needed.
• Experience working with Japanese counterparts.

• Associate's degree or equivalent technical experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Semiconductor Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience supporting semiconductor capital equipment as a Field Service Engineer, Applications Engineer, Product Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, or similar technical role.
• Previous experience delivering technical training, mentoring, coaching, or leading structured OJT programs preferred.
• Experience supporting SCREEN semiconductor equipment strongly preferred.
• Experience working directly with customers in semiconductor manufacturing environments preferred.
