Architectural Captain

This position is on-site only. Remote work is not available.

We’re seeking a skilled and driven Architectural Job Captain to join our growing team at RKAA Architects, Inc. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing projects from initial concept through to a complete set of construction documents. The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week.

• Lead the development and production of complete construction document sets.
• Serve as the primary liaison with engineering consultants, ensuring seamless coordination across disciplines.
• Manage and maintain project schedules from the design phase through permitting.
• Collaborate closely with internal team members and external consultants to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely delivery.
• Oversee code compliance and quality control throughout all project phases.

• Minimum of 4 years of professional, commercial architectural experience, including experience managing projects.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, CAD standards, and documentation procedures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required;
  Revit experience is a very strong plus.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities within tight time frames.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• $1,000 Signing Bonus upon successful completion of 90 calendar days and a satisfactory performance review.
