Construction Engineering Manager
Location:
Phoenix, AZ
- Manage and coordinate multiple construction engineering projects, overseeing budgets, schedules, and resources
- Develop and implement project plans, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and local building codes
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
- Interpret and execute complex technical assignments, often requiring multi-disciplinary engineering knowledge
- Develop novel concepts and approaches to address unique or challenging construction problems
- Maintain effective communication with internal departments, clients, and external stakeholders
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions
- Analyze project data and prepare comprehensive reports for upper management and clients
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in construction engineering
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local and federal regulations throughout project life cycles
- BA/BS + 8 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- 10 years of relevant experience in construction engineering, with a proven track record of successful project management
- Prior experience working with ADOT or State DOT clients
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and safety regulations
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams
- Proficiency in construction management software and CAD programs
- Solid understanding of project financials, including budgeting and cost control
- Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders
- Experience with local Department of Transportation projects is highly desirable
- Familiarity with roadway construction is a plus
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred
- Must be a United States Citizen
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $16000 to $190000.
