We are seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Designer, based out of our Phoenix office. This role is responsible for producing accurate and fit‑for‑purpose electrical and instrumentation drawings that support our engineering and project teams, ensuring compliance with client requirements, standards, and schedules.

Responsibilities Technical Expertise
  • Produce and modify drawings in alignment with client, engineer, and project requirements.
  • Racking and Routing, Block Diagrams, Connection Diagrams, Hook‑Up Diagrams, Loop Diagrams, and Wiring Diagrams.
  • Apply strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, and related workflows.
  • Adhere to drawing office standards, VAULT procedures, and quality controls.
Time & Quality Management
  • Deliver accurate drawings within the man‑hour budget and project schedule.
  • Ensure self‑checking of work to minimize errors.
  • Report on drawing budget overruns and participate in cost‑effective project delivery.
  • Interpret instructions from engineers and drawing office management effectively.
  • Coordinate with engineers and project design teams to ensure accuracy and schedule alignment.
  • Communicate changes promptly and professionally.
  • Support effective handover of drawings and related documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements Education
  • Diploma or higher in Electrical
  • Degree or BTech in Engineering
Experience
  • 5+ years related experience with ECI drawings using AutoCAD
  • 5+ years with 3D Racking (AutoCAD or Revit)
  • 5+ years with AutoCAD Electrical, Eplan, Comos, or FDes
Knowledge
  • Experience in EPCM/Mining environment
  • Strong understanding of drawing office standards
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001
  • Technical knowledge in a multi‑discipline environment

Physical Requirements

While performing duties of this job, you may be required to stand, sit in a stationary position 50% of the time, alternate between sitting and standing, push/pull as necessary, reach overhead or below shoulder level, kneel, squat, or stoop. May be required on occasion to lift and carry items such as files, documents, or small packages, typically up to 10‑20 pounds.

Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment. Close visual acuity to perform activities such as reading, analyzing data, and working on a computer.
