Electrical Hardware Design Engineer
Location:
Phoenix, AZ – Onsite full-time. Visa: US citizen or Green Card holder.
- Develop new complex PCB and CCA designs with alternative solutions based on existing designs.
- Understand and comply with EMI/EMC requirements and verify at unit level.
- Develop DO-254 compliant complex hardware.
- Perform system integration based on documentation and execute test procedures.
- Design interfaces and release EICDs (Interface Control Documents).
- Author documents for FRACA resolution and engineering changes / design release.
- Perform testing with appropriate lab equipment to verify integrity of design.
- Perform product life cycle sustaining tasks.
- 3-6 years of hardware engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (sciences, technology, engineering, mathematics).
- Experience with aeronautics engine projects or aero engine manufacturer projects.
- Experience with aero engine external parts.
- BS degree in Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience with engines and power systems.
- Experience with module level analog/linear circuits including signal conditioning, data conversion.
- Demonstrated experience performing product/LRU and printed board assembly design verification and qualification.
- Knowledge of DO-254, Design Assurance Guidance for airborne electronic hardware and RTCA DO-160.
- Proficiency with PCB schematic/layout tools, Mathcad, MS Excel, LT-Spice.
- Familiarity with avionics development life cycle and troubleshooting/debug capability/obsolescence.
- Develop acceptance test criteria for electronic control units or other gas turbine engine components.
- Electrical design experience with aero engine projects or other aero engine manufacturer projects.
- Rich experience working on aero engine external parts.
