Quality Engineering Technician
TSMC Arizona offers an opportunity to work at the most advanced semiconductor fabrication facility in the United States. The first fab will operate leading-edge semiconductor process technology (N4) with production starting in the first half of 2025. The second fab will utilize N3 and N2 technologies and be operational in 2028. A third fab is planned to manufacture chips using 2nm or more advanced process technology, with production starting by the end of the decade.

- Provide quality guidance and drive global compliance to manufacturing quality standards.
- Monitor, analyze, and apply lean six sigma statistics and process control methods to establish and sustain robust manufacturing process control.
- Standardize and document control models and methodologies, and execute quality audits to ensure factory operation conforms with international standards ISO 9001 / IATF
16949. - Participate in change control and product quality improvement activities to ensure continuous improvement.
- Collect and record process changes to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
- Analyze and present quality control data to the engineering team to support informed decision-making.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of Statistical Process Controls (SPC) and generate reports.
- Support internal audits of wafer fabrication processes, equipment parameters, manufacturing operations, factory facilities, and incoming materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align factory operations with ISO 9001 / IATF
16949 standards. - Conduct and maintain documentation and paperwork relevant to day-to-day quality control activities.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Engineering with an emphasis on Quality Control and Analysis or related field is required.
- Technical
Skills:
Strong knowledge of Statistical Process Controls (SPC) and the ability to analyze quality-related data. - Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint, for data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 / IATF
16949 standards and their application in factory operations. - Interpersonal
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present findings and collaborate with teams; strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities; ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams. - Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a cleanroom or advanced manufacturing environment if needed; no additional physical requirements beyond common tasks such as extended walking, standing, or bending.
- Training: On-the-job training will be provided to ensure familiarity with company-specific processes, systems, and quality standards.
