Job Description & How to Apply Below

Our client is looking for a seasoned Materials Process Engineer to drive the design, assessment, and deployment of advanced materials and manufacturing techniques for aerospace platforms. This role will act as a technical authority in non‑metallic materials—especially polymer matrix composites and structural adhesives—providing support across the full lifecycle, from early concept development through production ramp‑up and ongoing process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research, develop, and qualify non‑metallic materials and related manufacturing processes for aerospace use.
  • Define, document, and verify process control plans while ensuring adherence to applicable standards, including MIL‑STD‑11991.
  • Analyze engineering drawings and technical requirements to confirm materials and processes align with program needs.
  • Identify root causes and resolve production challenges related to materials and processing.
  • Assist with the introduction of new materials and processes into manufacturing environments.
  • Partner closely with design engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and quality teams to resolve material issues and enhance manufacturability.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline; advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in materials or materials process engineering within the aerospace industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in composites, adhesives, polymers, and other non‑metallic materials.
  • Proven experience developing process control plans and evaluating engineering specifications and drawings.
  • Working knowledge of military standards, including MIL‑STD‑11991.
  • Hands‑on experience with polymer‑based or other non‑metallic material systems.
