About The Role
We're seeking a skilled and motivated Environmental Remediation Equipment Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Technician to join our field services team. The ideal candidate will assist in the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of environmental remediation systems-including groundwater treatment, soil vapor extraction, and air sparge systems-at active project sites located throughout Arizona.
This role is hands‑on and field‑based, requiring strong mechanical aptitude, attention to safety, and a proactive approach to keeping systems running efficiently and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Operate, monitor, and maintain remediation systems (e.g., groundwater pump‑and‑treat, soil vapor extraction, dual‑phase extraction).
- Conduct routine inspections, performance monitoring, and system optimizations.
- Record and analyze operational data, prepare logs and reports.
- Perform minor mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs as needed.
- Collect groundwater, soil, and air samples for laboratory analysis.
- Ensure compliance with site‑specific health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Support equipment mobilization, installation, and decommissioning as projects evolve.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in environmental science, mechanics, or engineering preferred.
- 2+ years of experience with environmental remediation systems, water/wastewater treatment, or industrial O&M preferred.
- Working knowledge of pumps, valves, flow meters, pressure systems, and basic instrumentation.
- Knowledge of diesel motors, compressors and electrical preferred.
- Ability to interpret system schematics, operation manuals, and work orders.
- Strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work outdoors in varying conditions.
- Occasional overtime, weekend, and on‑call work as needed.
- Ability to travel throughout State, including overnight/out of town for short periods of time.
