Responsibilities

As an Advanced Systems Engineer within our Honeywell Next‑Gen Avionics (NGA), you will play a vital role in the design, implementation, and management of cutting‑edge Flight Display Systems and Avionics solutions. As a flagship product, the Honeywell Anthem Flight Deck System is not just another avionics product; it is a visionary endeavor that employs cutting‑edge technologies to redefine how pilots interact with flight information and aircraft systems.

In this role, you will help drive the design, development, systems integration, and implementation of core Flight Displays Applications to be hosted on the Next Generation Avionics Platform. You will work alongside a diverse team of engineers, developers and designers to create and implement forward‑thinking solutions for Anthem Flight Display Systems.

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define system requirements and specifications for core flight display applications
  • Employ Model‑based System Design methodologies (using Simulink) to create innovative solutions
  • Support ARINC 661 graphics development, utilizing Scade.
  • Drive Systems/Software requirements development, validation, integration, and verification, ensuring our cutting‑edge systems meet the highest standards
  • Create test cases based upon use cases derived from system and software requirements
  • Stay current with advancements in avionics technologies and industry trends to inform design decisions and enhance system capabilities
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 4+ years of systems engineering experience (ideally in aerospace/avionics, display technologies, gaming, or related industries)
  • Strong proficiency in systems engineering principles and processes.

WE VALUE

  • Advanced Engineering degrees in AE (Aerospace Engineering), SE (Systems Engineering), etc
  • Familiarity with avionics systems and/or display technologies is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with Simulink or similar model‑based design tools
  • Experience in complex system integration projects
  • Experience with Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) I/O and IO scheduling tools (ESCAPE, PCT, HARMONIC) a plus
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices
  • Knowledge of change management practices
  • Knowledge of system certification requirements and documentation
