Job Description

Olsson provides multidisciplinary design services for some of the largest and most forward-thinking and desirable companies in the world to work for. The large hyperscale data center campuses we design throughout the U.S. will give you the opportunity to work on some of the largest and most complex engineering-driven projects being built today. We are seeking an accomplished Site Feasibility and Design Professional to join our team. In this role, you will oversee and manage the technical aspects of due diligence projects, ensuring comprehensive analysis, accurate reporting, and on-time delivery. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, and clients to gather critical information, assess risks, and make well-informed recommendations that support successful project outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have experience in fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing valuable insights and strategic guidance throughout the due diligence process.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead technical due diligence efforts
    , ensuring thorough evaluation of site conditions, utilities, and regulatory requirements.

  • Complete due diligence reports summarizing findings, risks, and recommendations.

  • Research zoning codes and permitting processes and develop permitting schedules to align with project timelines.

  • Prepare or oversee preliminary engineering documents
    , including test fits and site plans, utility plans, grading, and drainage analysis.

  • Develop reports, executive summaries, and presentations highlighting key findings, recommendations, and risk assessments for stakeholders.

  • Maintain project schedules and ensure timely delivery of technical components in a fast-paced environment.

  • Identify project risks and clearly communicate potential cost and schedule impacts to leadership and project teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in a relevant discipline such as Civil Engineering, Community and Regional Planning, Urban Planning, or Landscape Architecture

  • Associate’s degree in Drafting or Civil Design may also be considered

  • At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in due diligence, site planning, design management, or similar disciplines

  • Strong analytical expertise, with the ability to assess project feasibility, evaluate design standards, and interpret regulatory requirements
