Role OverviewElectrical Engineering Manager – a hybrid technical leader and people manager. You will maintain a strong technical presence, lead a team of engineers and designers, and drive professional growth through mentoring and career planning. In addition to managing people, you will solve complex engineering problems, design advanced building systems, and coordinate across disciplines to deliver technical excellence and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g., electrical, mechanical, fire protection, architectural) preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 12 years of relevant progressive experience
. - Expert knowledge in engineering design, A&E industry codes, design guides, and standards across a broad range of projects.
- Working knowledge of earned value, contracts, and construction processes.
- Proficiency with Revit and Bluebeam Revu.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and discipline‑specific design software.
- Experience building trust‑based relationships and fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- High emotional intelligence; ability to lead with empathy, conduct constructive performance conversations, and support team members through change.
- Committed to regular feedback, career guidance, and skills‑based mentoring.
- Strong technical aptitude; ability to learn and train others on systems and processes.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Team orientated, willing to collaborate in a highly collaborative environment and lead less experienced designers.
- Adaptable to changing work environments, priorities, and organizational needs.
- Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Trustworthy and capable of handling sensitive information.
- Self‑starter, proactive, and willing to teach, manage, and help others as needed.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
- Additional certifications (e.g., BEMP, CPD, CDP, NICET, RCDD).
- Sustainability certifications (e.g., CDP, LEED, WELL).
