Overview

Assist the Project Manager, Superintendent, and other members of the onsite management team in the overall planning, scheduling and administration of an assigned project. May be assigned responsibility for specific aspects of a heavy commercial/industrial project located in the north Phoenix, AZ area.

Essential Functions and Duties of the Position
  • 1 - Project Startup and Closeout
    • Familiarize yourself with owner contract
    • Review budgets and scopes with project manager
    • Assist with contract buyout in accordance with corporate policy within 90 days
    • Assist with development of site specific safety program
    • Assist with development of project specific quality program
    • Assist with development of site logistics plan
    • Assist with development of master project schedule/identification of critical issues and milestones
    • Assist with subcontractor and vendor selection
    • Assist in establishing project procedures and performance standards
    • Assist with development of startup checklist
    • Coordinate mobilization
    • Assist with and monitor permit process
    • Prepare closeout log
    • Participate in and document punch list process
    • Coordinate and document owner training
    • Prepare O&M manuals and warranties
    • Compile as-built drawings
    • Coordinate transfer of attic stock
    • Complete subcontractor and vendor closeout
    • Assist in demobilizing site
  • 2 - Forecasting and Planning
  • 3 - Expedite Materials and Ensure Information Flow
  • 4 - Document Control and Project Administration
  • 5 - Contract Management
  • 6 - Manage Project Staff
  • 7 - Manage Relationships with Owner and Subcontractors
  • Education/Experience

    Requires a four (4) year Building Construction or Engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience. Previous construction and/or crafts experience gained through internship or co-op assignments desirable. Basic knowledge of management practices and the ability to organize, a plus. Ability to calculate mathematical extensions, read and understand engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts and cost coding systems important.

    First aid certification, a plus.

    50-60 hour work weeks expected, full time salaried position with full benefits including health, dental/vision, life, 401k and matching, and more! Looking to hire ASAP for a long term project and possibly beyond, will consider per diem or relocation for the perfect candidates only.
