Job DescriptionThis position requires an experienced drafter/CADD operator to perform technical drafting support for assigned Solar projects. The ideal candidate will have solid skills in planning, scheduling, organization, and problem-solving. They will also have a strong client service attitude, a self-motivated approach, and an ability to manage a variety of tasks in a high-quality manner within a dynamic team environment.
This position performs a full range of professional electrical drafting assignments in a full-functioning capacity as part of the Electrical Group. Considerable independent judgment is required to carry out assignments that have a significant impact on services or programs. At the direction of the Electrical Group Manager, this position is responsible for the following:
Duties- Ensuring the completion of work based on project schedules.
- CAD drafting of single-line diagrams, layouts, and construction details.
- Estimating quantities and other miscellaneous tasks.
- Duties may also include marketing support on graphics or text related to upcoming projects.
- Performing work as assigned from sketches, verbal instructions, and notes.
- Establish and maintain schedules and offer progress reports on work performed.
- Maintain current knowledge of drafting procedures in electrical engineering for multiple clients.
- Minimum Education:
High School diploma or equivalent - Minimum of two (2) years of related CAD experience in a civil/electrical engineering or related industry
- Experience with AutoCAD standard drafting techniques, terminology, and applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Civil 3D and Bluebeam is a plus.

Will need the ability to establish rapport quickly with others working on the same project, and be able to promote a positive team environment. Working knowledge of dealing with a diverse population while using tact, diplomacy, and respect.
