Position Summary
The BIM Manager leads the implementation and management of Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) technologies across multiple construction projects. This role ensures BIM integration enhances project efficiency, visualization, and coordination. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the flexibility to travel and work on‑site as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Drive BIM execution plans and standards across projects.
- Integrate VDC tools into construction workflows to improve planning, coordination, and visualization.
- Identify and resolve constructability issues using clash detection and model analysis.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to align BIM deliverables with project goals.
- Represent VDC in client meetings and ensure timely reporting on progress and challenges.
- Mentor and train project teams on BIM tools and workflows.
- Delegate tasks effectively to meet project milestones and quality standards.
- Maintain expertise in Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, and related tools.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance model accuracy and project outcomes.
- Ensure quality control of models and data throughout the project lifecycle.
- 5–7 years of BIM/VDC experience in construction, with 3–5 years in Process Piping.
- Proven leadership on large-scale MEP projects.
- Proficient in Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, clash detection, and spool drawings.
- Familiar with Procore, Bluebeam, and construction workflows.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and team leadership skills.
- Experience with performance management and hiring preferred.
- Familiarity with reality capture and point cloud processing is a plus.
- Frequent travel (up to 30%) and extended stays at project sites required.
- Ability to work in both office and active construction environments.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs and navigate uneven terrain.
- Flexibility to work extended hours with minimal notice.
